New Term!

We are more excited than ever to be returning back to Rhythm Junkiez this September. With a new title under our belt (Protocol 2nd in Under 18 Teams – World Street Dance Champs) and some brilliant opportunities coming up, this autumn this term is kicking off to a brilliant start.

So what’s new?

– Teams
– Uniform
– December show
– Private lessons
– Payments

We are really pleased to see how well our existing teams Protocol and Generation X came together at the show and would like to see these teams continue to improve and bond therefore there will be no open auditions for these teams this term.

We are looking to freshen things up a bit so we are looking to form another team for ages 12-15yrs a small group (ages undecided) and we will be trialling pupils with potential to add to our current teams (Protocol, Generation X). We will be looking out for new talent at the first few lessons so make sure your committed and attend with enthusiasm to get yourself noticed.

Teams have events such as The Skills Show, Sutton & Walsall Christmas light switch on, video projects and competitions to look forward to this term as well as intense training and the usual last minute bookings that we get!

Team classes are currently Thursdays but this timetable may be changed slightly in order to accommodate for new teams. As soon as dancers have been finalised you will be notified of any changes.

It’s a new term, we have a brand new design, no excuses, time to look smart again guys! T-shirts are £15, Hoodies and Joggers are £25 (mini sizes are cheaper). Saturday class – your Ill Manners show costume can be handed to us and printed on and this will bring cost down. Uniform can be ordered with the secretary at class and online as of 16th September. We would like to see all pupils with at least a t-shirt by October please and by the end of October we will start giving penalties to dancers that do not arrive in uniform.

December Show

After the great response from our summer show we are currently trying to organise a smaller version this December. No costumes will be needed just an up to date Rhythm Junkiez Uniform. It will be at a smaller more local venue with a great festive atmosphere and the chance for our pupils to show off what they have learnt this term.

Private Lessons

A great chance for you to work on your dance technique, get your own personalised routine and compete at national competitions. All current private lesson pupils have made the team based on improved ability and a proven level of commitment. We now have a few slots opened up for private lessons. Private lessons are £10 per 30minutes and are one on one in a shared space, they are open to all ages and abilities and you can request the teacher and style of dance. This price covers hall hire and teacher fees. For sole use of the studio and one on one tuition private lessons are £25 for a 1hr session. Private lessons can be weekly, every other week or monthly but they need to be attended with energy and commitment or teachers can refuse the booking. 24hrs cancellation policy operates and if this is not given you will be charged the full fee.

If you are interested in booking one of these slots on either a Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday please register your interest with the secretary at class. Slots will be given on a first come first served basis.

We are enforcing a strict payment system starting this term. ALL classes will now run on a pay monthly scheme. This is set up via our website

Payment is made via a secure system called Go Cardless that is regulated by the FCA and really easy to use. You are able to alter or cancel at your leisure and it does not tie you down to any sort of contract. Once you set up a regular payment using the website your moneys will come out on the same date every month – please note if you have set up a payment in September your first payment will not come out until October so September will need to be paid cash.

For parents/guardians unable to use this system, termly payment is needed at the start of every month. If payment is late months fees will increase by £3 per week.

We operate on a monthly payment scheme for the smooth running of our school, this enables us to run classes during quiet periods, book venues and halls, manage other cash payments (costumes, tickets etc.) efficiently and provide some of the Midlands finest teaching talent.

We hate to nag for money, especially when we have to ask the kids themselves, so to avoid this please ensure you settle your payments monthly or if you are having any problems speak to us prior to the nagging!

Show Photos & DVDs

We have over 200 professionally taken photographs from the show that are now for sale. You can either purchase these as a CD £5, single print £3 or canvas between £20-£50 depending on size. The folder with photos will be available to browse through at class so make sure you take a peek

DVDs are still available to order via our website

Right I think that’s about it for now! Any questions regarding anything in this newsletter please speak to Lotty 07817 399 801. Happy Dancing!
